SolidCraft Lab does not provide account registration, payment processing, a cloud design database, or a hosted AI service. You do not need to submit an email address to use this site.
Designs stay in your browser unless you share them.
The CAD editor runs on your device. Its normal saved designs and recovery data use browser storage, primarily the Origin Private File System (OPFS), with local storage as a fallback where available. Preferences may also use local storage, and the editor’s service worker caches app files for offline reuse.
Browser data is tied to the exact browser profile and origin, including the subdomain. It is not synchronized between devices or between solidcraftcad.online and app.solidcraftcad.online. Private browsing, storage quotas, clearing site data, or a browser reset may remove it. Download a native .solidcraft backup to keep your own copy.
The workspace does not send your design contents, local file paths, prompts, or model geometry to a remote service during ordinary modeling. Native backups and geometry exports are browser downloads. Depending on your browser settings, they go to a default downloads folder or a location you choose. Downloading does not by itself delete the browser-stored copy.
Browser-local interaction counts.
The content site keeps simple, aggregate interaction counts in session storage under solidcraft.events, such as clicks to launch CAD or visit official downloads. These counts have no user identifier and are not sent to a server. They belong to this tab’s page session and survive reloads; browser session restoration can preserve them. You can clear them through the browser’s site-data controls.
The site and CAD shell emit a local solidcraft:telemetry browser event for a limited set of actions and initialization outcomes. These local events are not forwarded to Google Analytics. The CAD shell stores a first-run preference marker so it can initially select a light theme without changing your preference on every visit.
Cookies and analytics.
Production pages, including the self-hosted CAD workspace, load Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-6B4VHEQTLQ. Google Analytics sends visit information such as page URLs, referrers and browser or device information to Google, and may use first-party analytics cookies such as _ga to distinguish visitors and sessions. We do not send CAD design contents, geometry, local file paths or user input as custom analytics data. Development and Vercel preview builds do not load the Google tag. See Google’s Privacy Policy and its GA4 cookie documentation for more information.
Hosting and external requests.
Loading the website and CAD files sends ordinary HTTP requests to the host. Hosting infrastructure may log IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs, browser information, and errors for operational purposes. These logs are separate from your local design storage.
Site fonts and screenshots are served locally. Production analytics loads gtag.js from googletagmanager.com and sends measurement requests to Google. Search-engine ownership verification, when configured, adds metadata only. A hosting provider may process operational request data or use infrastructure cookies under its own policy. Links to GitHub, the official SolidCraft website, and official documentation open services with their own privacy practices. If you choose the official web application as a fallback, that application runs under its own origin and policies.
Control and deletion.
You can delete browser-local data through your browser’s site settings. Export your designs first. Removing site data may remove designs, recovery files, preferences, and offline caches. Downloaded files remain on your computer until you delete them.
Changes and questions.
This policy must be updated before changing the analytics setup or adding cloud storage, accounts, or other new data flows. For details about this independent community project and its upstream source, see About the lab.
